Call for Abstracts

The rapid urbanization of the 21st century has created urgent demands for cities to become more sustainable and resilient. Nature-based solutions (NbS) offer an innovative path toward addressing challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and urban heat islands. However, the effective implementation and scaling of NbS requires interdisciplinary collaboration, forward-thinking policies, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
This symposium invites abstracts that explore the intersection of policy, technology, and green infrastructure in the transformation of urban landscapes. We are seeking abstracts that highlight the importance of developing supportive policies for NbS, utilizing AI-driven technologies to implement nature-based interventions, and exploring trends in building-integrated vegetation systems.
We encourage contributions that highlight successful case studies, innovative approaches, and future directions for re-imagining urban landscapes and creating greener, more liveable cities. Join us in shaping the future of urban environments and advancing the role of NbS in the cities of tomorrow.

The following topics will be developed during the symposium:

  • Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Cities
  • Building-integrated vegetation
  • Policy and Governance for Greener Cities
  • Rol of new technologies such as AI and virtual reality for designing greener urban landscapes
  • Planning sustainable urban areas
  • Community Engagement and Social Equity
  • Urban forests
