Call for Abstracts
This symposium delves into the innovative applications of diverse traits—such as color, shape, and fragrance—in ornamental plants across the globe. The focus is comprehensive, encompassing not only flowers but also leaves, fruits, and whole plants, including succulents and carnivorous species. We encourage research on all underlying mechanisms of these traits, including studies on component composition, gene expression, genomic insights, inheritance patterns, and cultivation techniques. Additionally, discussions will address the impact of climate change on the expression of these traits.
While traditionally centered on aesthetic uses, the symposium’s scope has expanded to explore the integration of ornamental plants into culinary applications, such as edible flowers. This event aims to inspire the development of novel ornamental plants and enhance the quality of life for those who appreciate their beauty.
The following topics will be developed during the symposium:
- Plant organ shape (flower, leaf, whole plant)
- Plant organ color (flower, leaf, whole plant)
- Fragrance
- Plant morphology
- Carnivorous plants
- Succulents plants
- Edible flower
